The following penetrating sealers employ a solvent carrier and as a result have PCC’s no greater than 30% and no less than 10%. Some solvent-based products do exceed local VOC regulations and must be restricted from application accordingly.
PSSB 5 – A one component 5% solution of a trimehtylmethoxysiloxane clear, penetrating water repellant reduced in an environmentally-safe solvent. It has been formulated for vertical surfaces only. It has been formulated to comply with US EPA AAIM VOC regulations and contains no PCC’s.
PSSB 10 – A one-component 10% concentration, clear, penetrating water repellent containing a blend of silioxanes reduced in solvents. It is applies on low and high porosity concrete structures: roads, bridges, parking garages. It has been formulated for both horizontal and vertical surfaces and contains less than 30% PCC’s.
PSSB 20 – 20% clear, penetrating water repellent, containing a blend of siloxanes reduced in alcohols. For use on exterior above-grade concrete (precast, cast-in-place, CMU), brick masonry, and some natural stones to protect from the damage caused by water penetration. Contains less than 10% PCC’s.
PSSB 40 – A 40% a clear, penetrating water repellent containing a solution of silane reduced in alcohols. For use on exterior above-grade concrete (precast, cast-in -place, CMU), brick masonry, and some natural stones from the damage caused by water penetration. It has been formulated to comply with US EPA AAIM VOC regulations. It can be used on many DOT highway and bridge projects. Contains < 600 g/L VOC. Contains less than 10% PCC’s.
PSSB 40 LOW VOC – A 40% LOW VOC deep-penetrating water repellent containing a solution of silane reduced in an environmentally acceptable solvent. It has been formulated for use on exterior above grade masonry and natural stones or stone tile to protect from water damage and staining. It has been formulated to comply with US EPA AIM/VOC regulations, contains < 400g/l VOC and contains less than 5% PCC’s.
PSSB 100 LOW VOC – A 100% silane-based clear, penetrating water repellent containing a solution of silane reduced in solvents. It chemically reacts with the substrate to produce a long-lasting water repellent effect. It has been formulated to comply with US EPA AAIM VOC regulations, contains < 250 g/L VOC and less than 5% PCC’s.
Stainseal™ has been formulated for high-end natural stone finishes such as terrazzo, terracotta, granite, travertine, bluestone and slate to protect against soiling and common household stains. It has been formulated to comply with US EPA AAIM VOC regulations and contains less than 5% PCC’s
